Astronomy is at the forefront of scientific discovery, the excitement and interest generated by this is also reflected in GCSE Astronomy. You will gain an understanding of several astronomy theories and practices. The history of astronomy and its cultural impacts are also explored. At the same time, you will improve on your research, problem solving, and analytical skills which will you will be able to apply across your subjects and further on in your education, you will also develop an understanding of recent advances made within astronomy and learn new observation techniques.
