| The A-Level course focuses on understanding and application of Biological concepts. The course builds on prior knowledge from GCSE Science and Additional Science, although Additional Science is not essential. Throughout the course, an understanding of the principles of biology are developed and topics are illustrated by reference to relevant applications of biology, particularly those of a personal, social, environmental, economic and technological nature. A Level Biology gives students a good grounding for higher education both by developing practical skills and studying higher level Biological concepts in great breadth and depth. |
