Chemistry A Level

 
Exam Board: OCR
This A Level course focuses on understanding and application of Chemistry concepts. The course builds on prior knowledge from GCSE Science and Additional Science, although Additional Science is not essential. A Level Chemistry gives students a good grounding for higher education by developing practical skills in a variety of industrial contexts, as well as problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Polymers and Synthesis 
1 hour exam worth 15%
Equilibria, Energetics and Elements
Rates, Equilibrium and PH 1 hour 45 minute exam worth 25%
1 hour 30 minute exam worth 40%
Practical Skills in Chemistry Internally assessed coursework worth 10% Internally assessed individual practical investigation worth 20%
