Paddington Academy`s Year 9 Students Speaking for Westminster Borough
Congratulations to Paddington Academy students who recently won the first round of the English Speaking Union Debate challenge and will go on to represent Westminster borough in the final challenge on the 2nd July, competing against several other London boroughs. Conor Fitzpatrick, Nadia Begum, Charlotte Rowe, Dina El-Deeb and Ayoub Osman represented our Academy in three rounds of debates and received outstanding feedbacks from both judges and teachers from other schools. The Paddington Academy team won three rounds of debate against teams from Westminster Academy, Haverstock and Sion Manning. Despite the fact that it was their first experience in formal debating. Students presented a well-structured speech and received positive feedback from the judges. We wish them the very best of luck in the final challenge on the 2nd July against other boroughs across London; this event will be attended by the Lord Mayor of London.
