Continued development of sketchbook work on the theme Self Identity. a) approached the theme of surfaces and created a series of studies exploring the topic, b) Looked into different artists, styles and cultures and used this research to inspire their work, c) Developed their ideas by experimenting with a variety of different materials and d) created a final piece of work based on their experiments in their sketchbook. |

| Mock GCSE exam will be at the end of term which will be a 5 hour exam where students will create a final piece of work based on their ideas in their sketchbooks.

Students will be issued their exam paper where they will be given a
theme by the exam board. They will have to develop their ideas based on
the theme showing that they have covered all the assessment objectives.
During this term, students will be covering the first two assessments
objectives showing how they; a) approached the theme and created a series of studies exploring the topic, b) Looked into different artists, styles and cultures and used this research to inspire their work. Students will continue to work on their exam sketchbook. |

Students will continue to work in their exam sketchbook, showing that they have developed their ideas by experimenting with a variety of different materials. They will also show planning for their final piece which will be completed during the exam. The GCSE art exam will take place in May. The exam will be 10 hours long over 2 days where the students will create a final piece of work based on the work and ideas in their sketchbook. |
